Phat PS3: Firmware 3.61 3.66 etc Downgrade method released
You may have to read the title of this article a few times to soak in what I just said. Spanish hacker and PS3Hax member, dospiedras1973, has released a method he has been working on for 2 months to downgrade 265mb NAND PS3s, aka Phat PS3′s from firmware 3.6x. His method requires fancy flashing, and the use of the Infectus mod chip for PS3…so it requires soldering skills and is no “easy feat”. This also fixes the Waninkoko brick that many people had issues with a while back.

QA Flag: Downgrade Firmware 3.55 to 3.41/3.15 Tutorial
The folks at Gitbrew have released their downgrade, and you can find out how to downgrade your PS3 Firmware 3.55 to 3.41 or 3.15.
Instructions:
1. Install CFW355-OTHEROS++-SPECIAL.pup (Doesn’t matter what version you are 3.41, 3.50 etc etc)
2. Install qa_flag_extra.pkg
3. Run qa_flag (It will show up as this, that is fine)
4. If you hear the beeps, continue. If you don’t hear the beeps start over.
5. Reboot
6. Go into recovery menu and Update your ps3 with the firmware that you want (3.15, 3.41 etc)
7. Have it install
For download links head over to the forum by following this link

Leaked video of Nokia’s Windows Phone 7 (WP7)
Stephen Elop, the CEO of Nokia has unveiled on insider meeting showcasing what should the first WP7 powered Nokia smartphone device.
In the video, Stephen mentions that the smartphone’s presence is “super confidential” and that Nokia doesn’t want to see it out in the blogosphere. “Beautiful design, gorilla glass, pillow shaped backing, carl ziess 8MP camera,” says the CEO.
The product codenamed Sea Ray, is Nokia’s first Windows Phone device and will be made available on the stores later this year when the company releases a bunch of Windows Phone Mango devices.

Lulzsec hacker arrested in UK
Just a little breaking news. BBC has just reported a 19 year old in Essex, UK has been arrested in relation to the hacking group Lulzsec.

The arrest follows an investigation into network intrusions and Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks against a number of international business and intelligence agencies by what is believed to be the same hacking group.
The teenager was arrested on suspicion of Computer Misuse Act, and Fraud Act offences and was taken to a central London police station, where he currently remains in custody for questioning.
Searches at a residential address in Wickford, Essex, following the arrest last night have led to the examination of a significant amount of material. These forensic examinations remain ongoing.
The PCeU was assisted by officers from Essex Police and have been working in co-operation with the FBI

MW3 or Battlefield 3 FREE Prize Draw
We here at TGP love to give back to the community, and in light of the 2 big runners in FPS gaming, battlefield 3 and Modern Warfare 3, we have decided to do a prize draw in which you could win either BF3 limited edition or MW3 prestige edition*, the choice is yours.
Rules:
The rules are simple:
You must be a registered member of TGP.
You will only have to answer 3 questions, those questions will be:
What of the 2 games you want.
For which console/PC
Why did you choose this game, it doesn't have to be a big essay, could be something simple like COD rules or something, the choice is yours, but we would like to see how much you love the games your going to be winning, so bare that in mind.

Have Sony finally beat the Pirates?
If you are type of person who doesn't pay for games and has Killzone 3 installed on your custom firmware 3.55 PS3, I have news for you.
After the latest Killzone 3 game update (v1.09), when installed, it will stop the game from booting up on custom firmware due to 3.60 encryption keys found in the update file (EBOOT.BIN). I have a feeling this may be the case for future game updates as Sony continually battles the pirates.

Leaked Gameplay Footage of The Beast in inFAMOUS 2

No more DLC planned for L.A. Noire after Rockstar Pass
Rockstar Games today announced future DLC and pricing for L.A. Noire. However, after the release of the Reefer Madness Vice Desk Case DLC on the 12th of July (included with the Rockstar Pass), Rockstar has no plans for future DLC for the game.
Many questions were raised in confusion over the Rockstar Pass for L.A. Noire. One user asked if they had any plans for DLC after the Reefer Madness case, as you can see Rockstar state they have no plans for anymore DLC for L.A. Noire.
My opinion on this isn't that none will be released, it wouldn't make sense for a game that has a big following no to release DLC to revive the game, perfect example of a company doing that is EA with BFBC2 and the Vietnam Add on, I just think Rockstar are keeping their cards close to their chest.
